Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to perform complex repairs efficiently and accurately. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct repairs involving engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance and repair activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs
Qualifications
- Valid mechanic license or certification required; dealership experience preferred
- Proven experience in automotive repair with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, and the use of various hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
- Prior experience working in a dealership or similar environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Pay: $23.56-$48.60 per hour
