Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality work that meets safety and aesthetic standards. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools
- Operate machinery such as genies to access the workspace
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and workspace organization
- Perform quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications
- Assist in assembly or machining processes when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
Experience
- Prior experience in painting preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic math skills is beneficial
- Experience working with lean manufacturing principles or assembly lines is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential
