The Role:
As a Senior Security Systems Installation Technician, you will:
- Install, program, maintain, and repair security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and public address/intercom systems.
- Perform prewiring, installation, troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of security equipment, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and public address/intercom systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components to integrate security systems seamlessly, including IP addressing, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems to ensure proper functioning and identify potential risks.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on system integration best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools for both security systems and IT infrastructure.
- Ensure safety and compliance across all projects and job sites.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years in commercial security systems installation, programming, and troubleshooting. This must include CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- 5 years of experience in Technology Installation
- Required Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency in computer hardware, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and configuring network devices (firewalls, switches, routers).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and low-voltage wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with power tools and low-voltage equipment.
- Structured cabling wiring.
- CCTV mounting, aiming, network assignment.
- Access control component mounting, network assignment, commissioning, testing.
- Required Certifications/Trainings:
- Product-specific Access Control certifications or training such as Kantech, AMAG or ICT.
- Product-specific Security System (Alarm) certifications or training such as DSC or ICT.
- Product-specific CCTV certifications or training such as Hanwah, HikVision, or Axis.
- Fall Arrest, First Aid certifications (preferred).
- Electrical Engineering Certificate (preferred).
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and address potential risks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in various environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Other Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with on-call and overtime as needed.
