Casual Housekeepers – Leduc County, Thorsby & New Sarepta

Serving Hands Senior Care is currently hiring two dependable Casual Housekeepers to provide recurring housekeeping support to seniors living throughout Leduc County.
We are filling two separate geographic positions:
Position 1: West of Leduc
Serving clients in:
- Thorsby
- Warburg
- Rural communities west of Leduc
Current caseload: approximately 28–30 hours per month, averaging approximately 6–8 hours per week.
Position 2: East of Leduc
Serving clients in:
- New Sarepta
- Rural communities east of Leduc
Current caseload: approximately 10 hours per month, averaging approximately 3–4 hours per week.
An additional recurring client assignment in the City of Leduc may be offered to one of the successful applicants, depending on location and availability.
Applicants are not expected to cover both geographic areas. Please clearly indicate whether you are applying for the West of Leduc or East of Leduc position.

Position Details
- Casual / Part-time
- Weekday daytime availability required
- Most client visits are approximately two hours
- Visits are scheduled on a recurring basis according to client-approved service hours
- Travel between clients within the selected geographic area is required
Key Responsibilities
Provide light to moderate housekeeping support in seniors’ homes, including:
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
- Washing dishes and tidying kitchen areas
- Laundry and changing bed linens
- General tidying of client-used living spaces
- Removing household garbage and recycling
- Managing time effectively during scheduled visits
- Communicating concerns or changes to the office
- Following company safety, privacy and service standards
This position involves regular home-support housekeeping. It does not include commercial cleaning, hazardous cleaning or major deep-cleaning projects.
Requirements
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid driver’s licence and current vehicle insurance
- Comfortable driving between rural communities and acreages
- Dependable and able to attend recurring client visits consistently
- Able to work independently and follow client service plans
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- Respectful, compassionate and comfortable working with seniors
- Physically able to safely complete regular housekeeping duties
- Available during weekday daytime hours
Previous housekeeping, home support or senior-care experience is an asset, but it is not required.
Additional Requirements
Successful applicants must:
- Provide a recent criminal record check
- Be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Maintain strict client confidentiality
- Follow all Serving Hands Senior Care policies and safety requirements
