Job Summary:
The Drop-Ship Buyer will be responsible for leading and managing the Drop-Ship Category at Leon’s Furniture. This role will require assortment planning, product selection, vendor relations, merchandising execution, and business analytics to maximize sales and profitability in the E-commerce space. The Drop-Ship Buyer plays an integral role in ensuring product availability, accuracy, and presentations while supporting marketing initiatives and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, analytical, and a self-starter who is passionate about Home Furnishings and the retail industry.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing the Drop-Shop category including assortment planning, purchasing, vendor relationships, merchandising, marketing, and business analytics.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including marketing for product campaigns and promotions, plus support buying in existing categories.

Must remain informed about the current trends and advancements in the Home Furnishings Industry.

Demonstrates initiative, meticulous attention to detail, innovative trouble-shooting skills, and a passion for the Home Furnishings Industry.

Drop-Ship / On-Line business coordination

Tracking and solicitating all co-op allowances, Volume Rebates &c. in a timely manner to ensure the category maximizes profitability and ROI.

Fostering and maintain positive relations with all Departments, as well as all associates you have contact with in stores and Home Office, to ensure there is a healthy environment of mutual respect.

Ensuring Product Knowledge is made available to all associates as required.

Other duties and responsibilities which may be directed by Leon’s to perform from time to time.

Budget Accountability:

Responsible for achieving budgeted metrics including Revenue and Margin targets.
Recommended Qualifications
Experience:
-
Experience and knowledge of the latest industry trends in the Home Furnishings Industry.

Experience supporting the procurement of Home Furnishings products and related categories.

Previous E-commerce category management experience is an asset.
Education:

High School Diploma is required.

Post-secondary education in Business, Merchandising, or a related filed is preferred.

Compensation:
$55,000/yr to $65,000/yr plus (income may vary based on volume and location)
