Sales Representative, Medical - Toronto
Job Overview

Plans, directs, coordinates, and supports the selling of Stryker products to medical staff and purchasing groups in accordance with budgeted objectives and to obtain maximum profitability and volume in relation to pre-set standards. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Medical Sales team while championing Stryker’s Mission and Values.


Individual Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities:
Promotes and sells Medical Products
Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the proper use and maintenance of Medical products
Directs product evaluations in Acute Care setting.
May assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings
Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion
May assist in the training and development of sales personnel
Managing and maintaining a sample of inventory of products
Must understand and adhere to all hospital and pertinent guidelines when conducting a product evaluation
Employee has the necessary authority to execute above mentioned job responsibilities, and will have authority to carry out specific responsibilities defined by quality system documents
Employee has authority to recommend and initiate preventative and correction action with regard to product non-conformances and quality system activities
Maintain and protect the current base of business ensuring the current business is intact, guarding major accounts and building and maintaining a strong working relationship in the territory
Grow sales to surpass the previous year’s growth. Sales growth should include all product lines. Additionally develop Corporate Account and GPO sales activity
Communicate with manager on a regular bases. Be responsible and ensure communication on any serious competitive situations
Administrative duties include: Weekly sales calls and feedback reports to the Regional Manager; provide various monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested
Meet and exceed call, presentation and territory goals
Organize and plan utilizing Salesforce
Extensive product, competitor and market knowledge

FastTrack and other training
Yearly Global Sales Meeting
Regional Sales Meeting (2 times per year)
Territory – 2 to 6 overnights per month depending on the territory
In-Servicing – routinely requires night and weekends as planned by the Outside Sale Representative with their customer

Education & Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree
At least 3 years of outside sales experience in a fast paced, business to business sales environment
Documented sales achievements/rankings
Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
