Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the physical ability to handle the demands of grooming multiple pets daily.
Responsibilities
- Groom pets according to breed standards and client specifications, including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of animals throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and aftercare instructions.
- Handle pets gently and confidently, demonstrating patience and care during grooming procedures.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to provide timely service to clients.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of grooming supplies and products.
Experience
- Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for candidates eager to learn.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and address their needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience and gentle handling techniques.
- Knowledge of grooming tools, techniques, and breed-specific styles is a plus but not essential.
