A Family Support Worker is a frontline shift worker who is responsible for supporting clients to develop life skills (mentoring and childcare), supervise visits, complete transportations. All these services help to help preserve family units and uphold child protection standards. Family Support Workers provide stability to communities and individual households as well as provide important documentation and first-hand accounts and testimony during the court process for the protection of children and youth in our community.
Duties:
- Transport clients to and from various locations in an organized manner.
- Supervise visitations between family members and youth.
- Provide mentoring services geared towards building a specifical skill with the client.
- Complete detailed reports on a timely basis.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times, and intervening when necessary.
Qualification:
- Completed relevant post secondary education.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid vehicle registration.
- Valid vehicle insurance (1,000,000 liability).
- Clear Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Clear Social Development Check.
- Clear Driver's Abstract.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.

Pay: $19.75-$22.25 per hour
