This role provides day-today administrative support to the Social Services department as required within the portfolio. This role performs a variety of administrative duties that require comprehensive knowledge of the department, use and/or access to confidential information; and coordinating a range of administrative activities to support the leaders and the department.
Rate of Pay: $22.32 per hour - $27.90 per hour
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Successful completion of two-year Diploma in Medical, Executive or Office Administration, or as acceptable by the Hospital
Up to two (2) years of recent relevant experience
Demonstrated knowledge of computer software products such as Microsoft Suite
Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and outside agencies
Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
Ability to identify problems, provide suggestions and/or implement appropriate solutions as required
High level of initiative and self-direction required
Flexibility/adaptability to changing priorities, procedures and methods
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step)
