This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for clients/visitors, calling in or visiting the Provincial Office, the Administrative Assistant-Reception creates a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, providing comprehensive and professional customer-service. The Administrative Assistant-Reception will be responsible for greeting clients/visitors, guiding them properly as well as taking and directing calls while providing courteous, professional and quality service that reflects NSHA’s vision and mission.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant of the President & CEO, the Administrative Assistant-Reception will also provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Office of the President and CEO and provide additional support to other members of the Executive Leadership Team and their Executive Assistants.

Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination, preferably working in a hospital or health-related environment.
Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program and/or a combination of education, training and progressively responsible experience.
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, high degree of tact, professionalism, judgement and confidentiality.
Proficient with MS Office Suite, SharePoint, internet, technology for meeting planning, and skills related to all facets of modern office practices and technology.
Initiative, ability to set priorities and work independently with accuracy and efficiency.
Astute organizational skills in order to manage competing demands.
