The Consumer IoT & Communication Services product team is focused on IoT innovation and market differentiation in multiple areas including Connected Car. This is an opportunity to work on the leading edge of technology in Connected Car services including innovative solutions for automotive OEMs as well as offering unique Bell services to the consumers.
The Product Manager will report directly to the Senior Product Manager, Connected Car Services and will work closely with other product managers as well as IT, technology and marketing teams to manage the existing Connected Car portfolio, introduce new automotive OEMs, new services and new channels to continue to drive Bell’s leadership position in Consumer IoT and Connected car services.
This is a challenging position for a customer-focused product manager with a proven track record of successfully building and delivering new IoT products and services. You will collaborate with other high-energy professionals who are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal of being recognized as Canada’s leading Communications Company.
As part of the Consumer IoT & Communication services team, you will work with various Bell business units to manage and launch new Connected Car services including managing the product roadmap, consumer data connectivity strategies, new OEM enablement, infotainment services and new technology and services enablement. The candidate will help in identifying and championing growth opportunities that will drive Bell Mobility to maintain a leadership position in Connected Car and Consumer IoT services in Canada.
Performing this role involves experience in spearheading product management and development activities, including developing product requirements, concept design and architecture development of new services across multiple business units; preparing business case justification for new product investments; and identifying launch strategies and post-launch support, reporting and analytics with the customer experience being paramount for all activities. As a successful product manager, you will need to effectively build relationships and lead cross-functional teams and work with multiple business units to drive new Connected car initiatives.
Product lead on driving and executing on the Connected car program strategy including launching innovative Bell solutions and services for Connected car customers and adding new automotive OEMs through unique business and technical models
Lifecycle management of Connected car services including the enhancement of existing services, building new operational process and management of service and infrastructure evolution
Lead key product work streams in support of new product concepts, requirements, business and strategic plans in support of launch of new Bell Connected car products and services
Developing launch, integration, interoperability and cross billing strategies for various Connected car OEMs and partners
Create product requirements documents and business cases for new products and services enablement; support through all stages of ideation, funding, design and execution.
Deliver on the product strategy in coordination with the various stakeholders across Bell’s business units
Manage development and product releases with internal cross functional groups (i.e. IT, technology, billing, customer care, and marketing) as well as automotive OEMs, partners and vendors
Engage and influence cross-functional product teams to deliver complex customer-focused services with the desired deployment schedules
Track and analyze performance of solutions through the various stages of the product lifecycle to help identify opportunities or areas of improvement
Responsible for monthly and quarterly metric reports to monitor product life cycle. Develop models and scenarios to forecast business case scenarios and identify analytical insights that drive revenue.
Experience / Core competencies:
3 years of practical experience in product management and development. Experience in leading product teams from telecommunications and technology-enabled industries preferred.
Knowledge of Connected Car services, Consumer IoT solutions, IoT platforms and eUICC technologies is preferred
Excellent interactive communication and presentation skills to be able to clearly and effectively communicate across departments and levels of the organization
Strong ability to influence and gain the support of internal team members, suppliers and partners
Experience in developing and communicating new business model opportunities to stakeholders across the organization
Experience with strategy development on new products and services including building new business and support models
Demonstrated problem solving, analytical modelling and creative skills.
Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Motivated and a self-starter and comfortable leading others
Strong command in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
