Duties
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of machinery and equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to support repair tasks under supervision
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing parts, and setting up tools for repairs
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards
- Help with the installation of new equipment or components as directed by senior mechanics
- Conduct basic troubleshooting to identify issues with machinery or systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and inspection results
Requirements
- 1 year heavy duty mechanic expereince is required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in learning about machinery repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience or comfort using power tools for mechanical tasks is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely in a team environment
- Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Good communication skills to understand instructions and report on tasks completed
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
