Job Overview
CARSTAR Hamilton Gage is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to support our collision repair production team. This role is responsible for ordering, tracking, returning, receiving, and organizing parts required for vehicle repairs while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal delays in the repair process.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, experience with automotive parts, and the ability to coordinate closely with technicians, estimators, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Order, return and track automotive parts required for collision repairs based on estimates and repair plans.
- Verify that correct parts are received, checking for accuracy and damage upon delivery.
- Coordinate with technicians and estimators to ensure parts availability aligns with the repair schedule.
- Manage returns, backordered parts, and credit process.
- Maintain accurate parts records, invoices, and documentation.
- Ensure parts are labeled, organized, and staged for the correct repair orders.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Assist production staff in minimizing repair delays due to parts issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive parts, collision repair, or dealership parts departments preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for working with technicians, vendors, and front office staff.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
