Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role involves providing exceptional client service, assisting with animal care, and supporting the daily operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and has a genuine interest in animal health and well-being. Experience in laboratory procedures is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage client communications via phone and in person
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness of the clinic
- Collect samples and assist with laboratory testing procedures, utilizing laboratory experience when applicable
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Provide basic animal restraint during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Support inventory management by stocking supplies and medications
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and answer general questions about pet health
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with sample collection and testing procedures
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle animals gently and confidently during examinations and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the clinic environment

Pay: $17.20-$23.00 per hour
