The Job: The License Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the Service Department and to CSI results by assisting customers and advisors with vehicle issues and diagnose. The candidate must have previous License Technician experience and the ability to:
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned
- Diagnose the source of any malfunctions and perform repair
- Spot-check quality control with special emphasis on Customer Service Satisfaction vehicles
- Road test vehicles with customers to determine specific concerns whenever the need arises
- Investigate all comeback vehicles and verify that the concerns are resolved
- Qualify all vehicles for warranty coverage prior to performing warranty repairs
- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Perform road tests using safe driving standards
- Perform quality control of workmanship while work is in process
- Maximize shop efficiency, productivity and workmanship
- Attend technical training courses through Honda
- Attend meetings as required
- Proof of Covid vaccination required
The Qualifications required:
- Automotive Service Technician 310S License required
- Driver’s licence with a clean drivers abstract
- Minimum of 5 years plus Dealership experience in a Licensed Technician position
- Have up to date Honda training status
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in technical diagnosis and repair
- Ability to manage with respect, tack, diplomacy and professionalism
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical decision making skills
- Very self-motivated, committed team-player
- Fast learner with a thrust for learning
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
