Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics. This role involves performing repairs and inspections on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and schematic reading is highly valued. The technician will utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to deliver high-quality service efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Conduct complex repairs including engine work, transmission repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to identify problems and implement solutions
- Operate welding equipment and perform fabrication or assembly tasks as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
- Assist with vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs
- Experience with automotive repair software or diagnostic systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$47.00 per hour
