Join our dynamic dental team at Rabbit Hill Family Dentistry as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in a part-time position with evening and every-other-Saturday availability. We’re looking for an energetic, compassionate, and team-oriented RDA who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and supporting a busy, collaborative dental practice.
As an RDA, you will play an essential role in creating a positive, welcoming, and professional experience for every patient. You will work closely with our dentists and dental team to provide efficient chairside assistance, prepare treatment areas, support patient care, maintain accurate records, and ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and clinical safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and attentive chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before, during, and after patient appointments
- Assist the dentist with restorative, preventive, surgical, and other dental procedures as required
- Assist with implant procedures, including surgical setup, implant-related appointments, and post-operative care
- Provide chairside assistance during root canal therapy (RCT) and other endodontic procedures
- Assist with Invisalign appointments, including scans, records, attachments, delivery, and patient instructions as required
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with applicable standards and safety protocols
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment
- Follow all sterilization, infection prevention, and workplace safety protocols
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories and treatment areas
- Assist with impressions, digital scans, temporary restorations, and other clinical procedures as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment notes, and clinical documentation
- Assist with patient flow, room turnover, and maintaining an efficient schedule
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, reception staff, and other members of the dental team
- Monitor and maintain dental supplies and notify the appropriate team member when reordering is required
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, cleanliness, and patient care
- Support the overall efficiency and positive culture of the practice
Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification in good standing
- Previous dental assisting experience is required
- Experience assisting with dental implant procedures is required
- Experience with Invisalign is required
- Experience assisting with root canal therapy (RCT) is required
- Strong clinical and chairside assisting skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection prevention, sterilization, and clinical safety procedures
- Comfortable taking dental radiographs and performing other duties within the RDA scope of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Warm, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children, anxious patients, and individuals with special needs
- Ability to anticipate the dentist’s needs and work efficiently as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Open Dental software is an asset
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a motivated, dependable, and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with implants, Invisalign, and root canal therapy, along with strong clinical knowledge and excellent chairside skills. Experience with Open Dental software is an asset.
You should be organized, energetic, adaptable, and able to anticipate the needs of the dentist while keeping appointments running smoothly. Most importantly, you should be a positive team player who contributes to a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.

Pay: $20.73-$34.71 per hour
