You will join a dynamic and high performing team within Capital Market Operations. You will
assess, implement and manage valuation models for highly complex derivatives and related financial products. This position also offers you the opportunity to coach and develop junior staff and work closely with Investments, Strategy & Risk, and Finance teams. You will drive accurate and independent pricing processes to enable investment opportunities.
Who You’ll Work With
A diverse group of finance professionals within Capital Market Operations, primarily focused on derivatives
Groups across the organization such as Trading Desk, Strategy & Risk, Model Validation Group, Data Management, and Technology, etc.
External market data / pricing vendors
What You’ll Do
Implement valuation models for complex derivative products with respect to equity, interest rate, commodity, currency, credit, fixed income, volatility and variance and hybrid assets in both public and private markets
Responsible for advising and managing the daily, monthly, and annual valuations of complex financial instruments and derivative products
Responsible for investigating and resolving pricing and valuation methodology differences between OTPP and its counterparties in a timely and independent manner
Responsible for advising, coaching and recognizing staff within Capital Market Operations
Collaborate with members in Derivatives Operations to deliver improvements and enhancements to pricing processes and controls
Align with enterprise strategy and develop team knowledge and capability
Lead and support projects and initiatives such as system implementations
Other duties/projects as requested
What You’ll Need
Master’s degree in finance, mathematics or a related quantitative field
Total of 3-5 years’ experience in business environment, including a minimum of two years of related work experience in trading floor risk management, consulting, investment banking, product control, valuation, and quantitative finance, etc.
CFA or FRM designation is an asset
Deep understanding of derivative instruments and common market practices / relevant valuation techniques in derivative markets
Ability to work and manage multiple projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex subject matter to non-technical audiences
Exceptional attention to details
Strong interpersonal skills
Programming experience or knowledge of Python, Excel VBA, SQL, Matlab, and/or C#
Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, Charles River Development, Bloomberg, Reuters, and/or FINCAD is an asset
