About the Opportunity
Our Mississauga-based client, a leading manufacturing operation, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to join their team. This is a hands-on role working on corrugator systems and plant equipment in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues across plant equipment (corrugator, conveyors, compressors, slitters, strappers, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication on machinery
- Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Handle minor electrical troubleshooting (reading schematics is an asset)
Boiler & Steam Systems
- Monitor boiler room operations and related systems (feed pumps, deaerator, tanks)
- Perform and record daily water tests
- Repair steam-related components (pipes, pumps, rotary joints)
- Maintain accurate engineer logbooks
- ️ General Plant Support
- Repair forklifts (hydraulics, leaks, fuel systems, etc.)
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and shop conditions
- Operate water separator and monitor discharge pH levels
Starch System Operations
- Prepare starch mixtures using set formulas
- Monitor viscosity, gel points, and quality standards
- Adjust formulas as required to maintain product quality
- Maintain supply flow to production lines
- Record usage and report daily consumption
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Millwright (433A) preferred or strong mechanical experience
- Maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment
- Experience with corrugator equipment is a strong asset
- Stationary Engineer Certificate (asset)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting ability (asset)
- Experience with preventative maintenance (PM) programs
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
