Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent guest services by responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of the food industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tables effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
