Responsibilities
· Handle full-cycle accounts payable and receivable: vendor invoices, customer billing, receipts, and payment processing
· Enter, code, and reconcile invoices; investigate discrepancies
· Record monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaid adjustments) and intercompany reconciliations
· Prepare GST, PST, and applicable industry-specific returns
· Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
· Organize vendor and credit card filing systems
· Manage payroll processing: validate time off requests, make source deductions, and generate T4 forms
· Ensure comprehensive, compliant payroll record-keeping per BC employment standards
· Maintain accurate accounting records aligned with internal policies and controls
· Document and recommend enhancements to accounting processes
· Provide support for audits and financial reporting
· Perform other duties to support the finance team and operations
Skills & Experience Required
· 2–3 years in full-cycle bookkeeping or similar, including payroll processing
· Post-secondary credential in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration (or equivalent experience)
· Solid understanding of payroll legislation, deductions, and statutory reporting
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and accounting software; QuickBooks experience is an asset
· Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving capabilities
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
· Reliable, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting
