Overview
Edge Fleet Maintenance has been serving the Grande Prairie area for 28 years and we are looking for a journeyman heavy duty mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to diagnose and repair issues for trucks and trailers. Computer diagnostic experience preferred. CVIP license an asset. Candidate must have clean drivers abstract. We require a dependable person with an excellent work ethic and strong time management skills. Will consider 3rd year depending on experience. Wage based on experience.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair trucks and trailer
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards during all repair activities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules and parts used
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely and operating heavy equipment when necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
