Job Description
As the Restaurant General Manager at Vermillion Room, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while overseeing the daily operations of our esteemed establishment. This position requires a dynamic and innovative leader with a passion for mixology and the ability to elevate our bar programming to new heights.
The Restaurant Manager is also responsible for making sure the concept is applied and promoted via the operations’ decisions.
Competitive Salary: $78,000 - $82,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education
Job Duties Include:
This position will be reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage

Lead, teach, coach and inspire a team of 40-60 Heartists resulting in excellent guest satisfaction ratings

Ensure restaurant maintains budgeted levels of profitability by managing expenses such as beverage cost and labor cost and maximize revenues on a daily basis by managing reservations, turnaround times, average checks, menu mix, ect.

Infuse creativity into bar programming to enhance guest experiences and drive beverage sales.

Demonstrate strong beverage knowledge and collaborate with the team to curate an exceptional drink menu

Develop and implement innovative beverage programs that align with current industry trends.

Participate in monthly forecasting and month end commentary in regards to financials goals and achievements

Conduct regular scheduled departmental meetings and assume transparent and efficient communication

Recognize and correct guest service issues through presence on the floor

Analyze data and trends to crate strategies for improvement while being innovative and upholding Fairmont standards

Liaise with department involved as needed (conference service managers, front office, accounting)

Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum two years of senior experience in F&B management in full-service four or five-star properties.

Strong beverage and culinary knowledge, with Pro Serve certification.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Menu Design programs, and Social Media Platforms.

Post-secondary degree in Hospitality and Food & Beverage Management considered an asset

Confident in creating and developing our bar program that aligns with trends

Proven track record as an effective leader and team player.

Strong financial and cost control knowledge and applications.

Flexible schedule, ability to work mornings, days, and evenings under pressure, and be accountable for decisions.
