One of Canada’s top restaurants is seeking a daytime prep chef that can help prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and vegetables before evening service. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily prep of all menu items
- Preparation of ingredients for the menu - including main courses, sides, garnishes, sauces, and desserts
- Coming in early mornings before service to prepare; possibly working independently to do these things
- Working in collaboration with a team; following instructions from executive chefs, head chefs, and sous chefs
- Responsible for receiving deliveries, organizing and putting food away in the proper storages.
- Listing ingredients that are needed for the kitchen
- Writing dates and expiration on ingredients
- Reliability is a must as hours may start at 6am.
- Self-motivated individual who has a love for fine dining.
- Responsible and can communicate needs
APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and independently (may be prepping alone at times)
- A minimum of 1-2 years of kitchen experience is a must.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent is considered an asset but not a requirement

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
