Skilled Labourer – Boat Lift Manufacturing
We are a leading manufacturer of premium aluminum docks and hydraulic boat lifts. We are looking for a motivated, reliable Skilled Labourer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position focused on cutting, drilling, and preparing aluminum components for production while maintaining high quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Cut aluminum extrusions, tubing, and plate to specified lengths using saws and cutting equipment.
- Drill, punch, and machine aluminum components according to engineering drawings.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Read and interpret production drawings and work instructions.
- Organize and stage materials for fabrication and assembly.
- Operate shop equipment safely, including saws, drill presses, ironworkers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Assist with assembly and other manufacturing duties as required.
- Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and production schedules.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Experience operating saws, drill presses, or metal fabrication equipment is preferred.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
