Are you looking for an opportunity to make great impact, be transformational and move the Liquids business forward? We have an exciting role in the Data & Analytics team within our Liquids Business Unit. This role reports to the Manager, Data & Analytics.
The evolving team will lead and support the Liquids Business through its journey to be a leader in the use of data and analytics to achieve business goals, such as reliability, safety and profitability. This role is essential in helping the team identify and prioritize opportunities that transform how we do business and create value.
The successful incumbent will work collaboratively with all parts of the Liquids, Information Services and Technical Center business units. Act as a conduit between Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and IS resources. Candidates need to be very much self-driven, curious and creative.

What you’ll do
Act as a key contributing team member for advanced analytics products focused on analytics product and insight development and sustainment
Design, create, test and implements models through algorithms that drive analytical products throughout the organization
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver high-impact scalable and sustainable products in a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach through product releases
Interpret, translate and communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders through visualizations
Develop, construct and automate data pipelines and computational architectures that allow for leading edge analytical models
Translates complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design, and high performing end to end solutions
Develop a deep understanding of our data and our business to create value for our business partners and our organization
Apply various machine learning (ML) and advanced analytics techniques to perform classification or prediction tasks
Integrate domain knowledge into the ML solution
6+ years related and progressive experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, strong preference for Engineering
Strong knowledge of the oil and gas business preferably midstream specifically
Registered and in good standing / eligible to be registered with APEGA (or simliar like governing body)
The ability to work in environments with significant ambiguity, can develop creative approaches to data problems, and curious and passionate about data in the context of business and industry implications
Expert knowledge of data modeling, with an understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use cases
Experience building, maintaining and orchestrating Big Data pipelines and analytics solutions in an enterprise setting, using Agile development approaches
Strong communication, dynamic and critical thinking, and story-telling ability (through data) to influence and propose analytics strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of everyone around you
Working knowledge of Python
Working knowledge of relevant Big Data technologies (Azure, AWS or Google platforms)
Ability to apply theoretical concepts to solve complex business problems with a strong business mindset
