Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Shop Mechanic to support our demolition, abatement, and concrete cutting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and managing a wide range of construction equipment and tools while supporting safe, efficient shop operations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, safety-focused, and takes ownership of equipment condition and shop standards.
This is an in-person position in Edmonton, AB.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on small to heavy-duty construction equipment
- Service hydraulic, diesel, gas, and electric systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond to urgent repair needs
- Maintain and repair gas and electric tools, including concrete cutting and coring equipment
- Inspect tools for safety, performance, and readiness
- Implement and follow preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate service records and equipment history
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Support inventory management, parts tracking, and tool organization
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment
- Support equipment deliveries to job sites as required
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and service needs
Equipment Serviced
- Excavators and mini-excavators
- Skid steers
- Concrete cutting and coring equipment
- Gas axes, slab saws, and related tools
- Corded and cordless power tools
- Light fleet vehicles (asset, not required)
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining construction equipment and tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulic, diesel, gas, and electric systems
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Comfortable supporting both shop and occasional field or delivery needs

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
