ChargeFWD is a leading EV Charging consulting and installations company. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Engineer. Projects may include: EV Charging feasibility and planning studies, Electrical planning reports for commercial and residential properties, and EV charging infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
· Take a lead role in the development of EV Charging feasibility studies, Electrical planning reports for commercial and residential properties, and EV charging installation projects.
· Assess the feasibility of EV charging station installations by conducting site visits, evaluating electrical systems, and gathering necessary information to develop project plans and recommendations.
· Conduct fleet assessments to determine the charging infrastructure requirements for business fleets, considering factors such as charging capacity, scheduling, and operational needs.
· Perform facility assessments to evaluate the readiness and suitability of residential condos and other locations for EV charging installations, taking into account factors like electrical infrastructure, space availability, and rebate incentive programs.
· Develop and track project schedules.
· Develop and maintain respectful and high-quality relationships within ChargeFWD’s team members and with customer contacts.
· Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive project plans that meet client requirements, ensuring optimal charging infrastructure design and integration.
· Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients via phone, Zoom, and email, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering expert advice on EV charging systems.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, customer interactions, service requests, and any other relevant information using our internal systems.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to EV charging systems and electrical systems, continuously expanding your technical knowledge.
Requirements:
· Professional engineer who holds qualifications in electrical engineering and is a member in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists is considered an asset.
· Engineer in Training Professional who holds an engineering degree is from a university program accredited by Engineers Canada.
· 3-7+ years' experience in energy management, energy efficiency, energy evaluations or a related field
· Must have a strong and well-rounded knowledge of decarbonization strategies specific to buildings and infrastructure.
· Familiarity with EV charging systems, electrical systems, or related technologies is highly desirable.
· Experience in conducting feasibility assessments and developing project plans is highly desirable.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
· Proficiency in using various communication tools, such as phone systems, Zoom, and email, to provide support and maintain regular client communication.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· A team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Based in Vancouver, Remote work, Site visits required. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
Core work hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week required.
Expected Salary: $80,000-$95,000 per year
