Westfab Industries a division of Enquest Energy Solutions requires a Quality Control Inspectorto be responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, he or she is responsible for strictly adhering to the organisation's quality assurance policies, and identifying defects and or production errors in order to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of direct work experience with QA/QC systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
- QC experience in engineering, procurement, and construction in both shop and field environments, including experience with pressure equipment fabrication (piping and vessels) as well as structural steel fabrication considered and asset.
- Direct experience with and full understanding of ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Section IX Codes; and their applications
- Direct experience with and full understanding of ASME B31.3 Codes and their applications
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Direct experience with and full understanding of ABSA/Alberta Regulations and their applications.
- Direct knowledge of QA/QC methodologies.
- Welding background preferred
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
Duties:
- Inspect production material as assigned for defects as trained.
- inspect and check layout
- Straighten pipe to within tolerances
- Perform visual inspections
- Perform dimensional checks on piping assemblies
- Call up NDE according to drawings
- Perform final checks before hydro testing
