We are a small, high volume retail grocery store seeking a Produce Department Team Member who will appreciate our selection of quality meats, cheese, prepared foods and fresh produce and be able to highlight those to our customers. We are always striving to provide the excellent customer service that our regular clientele have come to expect and we are looking for a new individual to join our team in a part-time capacity, for roughly 15 hours per week. We are looking for someone to work day shifts and evenings and be able to start at 6 am the earliest, if needed.
We are proud to be a neighbourhood grocery store that focuses on homemade products but also carry the basics of any grocery store. Our diverse clientele has been supportive with open arms since our inception in 2013. We have a lot of potential for growth and we continue to make an effort on offering more local products and to become a better member of the community.
Responsibilities:
-Highly physical job, must be able to lift 50lbs
-Work quickly, independently and as a team player
-Receive and check orders
-Place and maintain produce in attractive and appealing way
-Packaging of produce using wrapping machine
-knife skills are a bonus
-Periodic cashier duties
-Quick learner, positive attitude
