Job Summary
This position starts with hands-on renovation and painting work at our new unit, then transitions into a full-time general labourer role in our millwork shop. We are not looking for someone to come in for a few weeks — we want someone who wants to stick around, prove themselves, and become a long-term part of the team.
This role is best suited for someone who takes initiative and doesn't need constant direction.
There are two phases:
Phase 1 – Renovation & Painting (Immediate Start)
- Painting walls, ceilings, and trim throughout the new unit
- Surface prep — patching, sanding, priming, masking
- General renovation labour — helping with whatever needs to get done to get the space ready
- Moving materials, cleaning up, keeping the site organized
- Working efficiently and taking initiative without needing constant direction
Phase 2 – General Labourer in the Shop (Ongoing, Permanent)
- Supporting the production team in our millwork and joinery shop
- Material handling, cutting support, assembly assistance
- Keeping the shop floor clean and organized
- Loading/unloading deliveries
- Following direction from the shop supervisor and senior staff
What We Need From You
- Previous experience painting walls, ceilings, or doing general renovation/construction labour — this is highly preferred
- Physically fit and able to handle a full day of manual work without issue-- this is a must
- Reliable — you show up on time and you do not disappear after the first week
- A self-starter who can look around and see what needs to be done
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Team player with a good attitude
