MPI Autobody Collision Insurance Claims Administrator
Join our growing team. Finish First Autobody is seeking an experienced, self-starting, highly organized Administrative Assistant / MPI Auto Insurance Claims Administrator to join our autobody repair team.
This is a fast-paced administrative role that requires strong customer service, excellent attention to detail, and a working understanding of vehicle repairs, autobody terminology, parts, and insurance claim processes. The successful candidate will help keep repair files accurate, organized, and moving forward while supporting customers, technicians, estimators, parts suppliers, and MPI representatives.
A strong memory for detail, the ability to follow processes, and confidence managing multiple tasks at once are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones and provide professional customer service
- Build trust with customers through clear communication and follow-up
- Book customers, complete intake, and assist with repair scheduling
- Help maintain accurate claim status updates
- Assist with parts coordination, repair scheduling, and shop workflow
- Support documentation required for MPI claims and repair files
- Communicate with customers, MPI representatives, suppliers, and internal staff
- Review claim information, approvals, coverage details, and required documentation
- Maintain organized electronic and paper claim files
- Follow up on outstanding claims, approvals, supplements, and payments
- Ensure files are accurate, complete, and properly documented
- Follow company procedures, MPI requirements, and confidentiality standards
- Support team organization and help train others as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Administrative or clerical experience is required
- Experience in an autobody, automotive, insurance, or claims environment is strongly preferred
- Understanding of vehicle repairs, parts, and autobody terminology is required
- MPI claims experience is considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
- Strong communication skills with customers, insurers, suppliers, and team members
- Experience using digital files, paper files, email, and office systems
- Professional, reliable, and able to work in a busy shop environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information
