Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing POS transactions, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Prior restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with familiarity with Micros POS systems and food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and recipes
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their dining experience
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order entry and cashiering duties
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate food and beverage delivery efficiently
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating drink recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
