This is a general posting for any of our 5 stores in Calgary. We are not hiring for any specific location at the moment but should an opening come up, we will reach out.
As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and sales activities at your store. You will be in charge of providing excellent customer service, training staff, and ensuring that operational standards are met while interfacing with senior management. You should also be able to identify areas of improvement and make changes to increase customer satisfaction, maximize profits, and improve operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store
- Manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Roll out strategies to improve sales
- Monitor inventory levels and order new stock as needed
- Ensure all operational standards are met (e.g. cleanliness, security, etc)
- Proficient in tracking KPIs such as sales trends, store traffic, etc.
- Keep up with industry trends and best practices
- Weekend & evening availability
- Able to provide a copy of a PROSERVE certification
EXPERIENCE
- WSET or other formal wine & spirit education certification would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A great personality and a willingness to learn far outweigh experience. We need people that care and want to succeed in a team environment!
