Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Fisherman/Woman to join our team. This role involves harvesting seafood in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner, primarily working on boats and in coastal environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate various equipment necessary for commercial fishing operations. Duties
- Assist with the deployment and retrieval of fishing nets, traps, or lines
- Conduct routine maintenance on boats, gear, and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Handle and process catch according to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Perform landscape maintenance around dock areas or storage facilities as needed
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment for repairs or facility upkeep
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and environmental conditions
Skills
- Construction experience helpful for repairs or facility improvements
- Heavy equipment operation skills including cranes, winches, or forklifts
- Experience with landscape maintenance around docks or storage areas is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance tasks
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for transportation needs
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to marine operations and heavy machinery
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments under varying weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
This role is vital for successful seafood harvesting operations. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work in outdoor marine environments while adhering to safety standards. Pay: $600.00-$1,000.00 per week
