Work setting: Manufacturing Plant & Warehouse.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare and complete all shipments of our product using trucking companies and couriers.
· Prepare and complete all documentation including bills of lading, export and courier documentation, other shipping documents as required.
· Load and unload trucks using propane, counter balanced fork truck.
· Receive and verify incoming goods. Record shortages and damaged product.
· Contribute to accuracy of warehouse inventory.
· Pack our product suitable for shipping.
· Keep shipping, packing and warehouse area clean, tidy and safe.
· Perform additional duties as required by supervision.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Attention to detail.
Physically demanding, lifting up to 70lbs, but more often repetitive lifting of lesser weight.
Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching & kneeling.
This is a hands on, physical job, It is not a desk, office or forklift based job.
Essential skills:
· Shipper / Receiver experience.
· Reading of text, Numeracy, Document use, Good oral communication.
· Working with others, problem solving, task organizing & planning, good memory.
· General computer skills ( Windows based programs )
· Pride in Cleanliness, organizational and team skills.
· Relevant fork truck license.
Languages: Speak English, read English, write English.
Type of equipment: Counter balanced propane fork truck, Pallet wrapper, pump truck & dollies.
