What will you do?
Manages the staff and operational effectiveness of receiving, shipping and material handling teams
Responsible for the development and achievement of team KPI's
Work with Union Executive and HR to develop, implement new policies and procedures to enhance employees welfare and meet Business needs.
Ensure collective agreement compliance for unionized logistics staff
Identifies resource needs and implement change as require
Responsible for development of their employees
Responsible for personal and team adherence to all relevant Siemens Corporate Policies & Procedures (EHS, QMS, Compliance, etc)
Leads process improvement implementation including alignment with current material control standards
Key Process Owner for all Logistics processes in the warehouse
Responsible to align to Siemens supply chain strategic initiatives based on relative business needs
What will you need to succeed?
Bachelors Degree or advanced Degree (an asset).
Relevant Certification in Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics Management program is preferred.
Understanding of functions and how the functions align with and support the business and operational processes
Ability to creatively solve problems while maintaining a timely and cost effective approach.
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation
Strong analytical interpretative evaluative and constructive thinking
Demonstrates advance understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation and performance management.
Advanced working knowledge in MS Office and system applications
Experience with web based applications
Supervisory experience in managing a team
