As a Community Relations Assistant, you will bring important road safety messages and information to people of all ages in communities throughout Manitoba. Your work as a road safety ambassador will involve delivering presentations on bicycle safety, cyclists and pedestrians, the importance of seatbelt use and the dangers of speeding, distracted and impaired driving.

Serve as a road safety ambassador at trade shows, summer fairs and events throughout Manitoba.
Organize and deliver presentations in different regions of the province.
Deliver bicycle safety presentations to elementary school children and youth.
Prepare reports on events and activities.
Education & Experience

Enrolled in or returning to study at a post-secondary educational institution. Recent graduates in the current year will also be given consideration. This position may be of interest to you if you’re studying education, nursing, communications or marketing.


Experience in teaching or presenting to audiences of various ages.

Special Skills & Requirements
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be comfortable driving a truck with a trailer.
Able to travel throughout Manitoba, occasionally staying overnight.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Exhibit strong planning and organizational skills.
Able to work extended hours, weekdays and weekends.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office.
Able to lift, carry and load presentation equipment.
Able to speak French (an asset but not mandatory for the position).
