Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled staff Pharmacist to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients, collaborating closely with our adjacent pediatric clinic and other local physicians.
Currently looking for someone on a permanent part-time basis to fill one full-day or some part-days on Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays with additional future availability. We are flexible with hours, so please include your availability in your application.
Our location is within walking distance from St. Clair West Subway Station, and we offer free parking for staff.
Duties
-Accurately check and dispense medications according to established protocols, performing day-to-day pharmacist duties, including patient counseling, consulting with practitioners, reviewing prescriptions, and other licensed pharmacist responsibilities.
- Review and interpret medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness
- Ensure adherence to strict safety and quality control standards in non-sterile compounding environment
-Administer vaccinations PRN
Skills
- Prior experience with Fillware is valuable and (Highly Preferred)
- Compounding experience or interest in compounding (Preferred)
-Experience in paediatric field (Preferred)
- Must be willing/able to work completely independently
- Able to perform duties with full scope of practice of Part-A licensed pharmacist as defined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) (Mandatory)
- Strong ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including vaccinating paediatrics
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
