We currently have a Temporary Full-time opportunity for a Data Analyst in the Ross Tilley Burn Centre at Sunnybrook Heatlh Sciences Centre until approximately December 2020.

Summary of Duties

The incumbent will participate in data collection, patient tracking and chart reviews for organizational Indicators, Critical Care Services Ontario (CCSO), the National Burn Repository (NBR) and the Canadian Burn Registry through a variety of sources
Assignment of required codes (e.ge. ICD-10/ external causes codes; Procedure codes)
Entry of patient data into a computerized relational database from information collected from chart reviews
Additional Burn Research data input and extraction
Responsible for attending daily rounds
Responsible for timely submission of reports
Qualifications/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in health care3 related field or related post-secondary diploma in Health Information management
Minimum (2) years’ experience in a clinical/ research setting
Experience working with healthcare-related databases and registries required
Computer literacy with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications
Demonstrated suitable knowledge of medical terminology required
Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail required
Ability to be self- directed
Must be willing and able to rapidly learn new concepts
Strong organization and time management skills
Must be able to communicate and interact with patients and staff in a clear, cordial and professional manner.
