In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will act as the primary interface for the Information Technology Program Management Office. You will work closely with the functional business groups and project teams to achieve project objectives in accordance with established cost and time parameters. You will be a key contributor to the planning and development of initiatives for the IT Portfolio selection

Build strong client relationships by translating business needs into functional requirements to be executed by IT project teams.
Contribute to the development of IT strategic and tactical plans for the client’s business.
Advise on best practices for the intended system changes. Research and compare hardware/software needs to make recommendations. Describe system improvements by studying current practices and designing modifications.
Plan supportive business solutions. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
Identify business capabilities for new systems by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
Recommend controls by identifying problems and proposing improved procedures.
Prepare technical reports, analysis and summary information and trends.
Understand and comply with CBS Information Technology and regulatory standards.
Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or IT related field
Three years of prior experience as a business systems analyst in a highly technical environment.
A minimum of three years of IT experience as a programmer/analyst or systems analyst with evidenced experience in software design and documentation, hardware development, requirements development, analysis and facilitation
Exemplary problem analysis, planning and organizing skills with experience evaluating client business processes to be supported with an aptitude for system analysis and design.
Ability to clearly articulate business requirements to IT subject matter experts and technical requirements/design to business subject matter experts
Excellent written communication skills at all functional levels in the organization.
Prior work in traditional and Agile project management methodologies implementing smaller scale projects.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Self-motivated and self-directed with ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously
