Field Supervisor – Distinct Landscape Group | Brockville
Distinct Landscape Group is a growing landscape company serving Brockville, Prescott, and the surrounding area. Our team specializes in landscape construction, property maintenance, snow removal, and landscape supply operations.
We are currently looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to join our team.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable supervising crews while actively working alongside them in the field. The Field Supervisor is responsible for keeping teams organized, productive, and working safely while ensuring projects and daily operations are completed efficiently and to company standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can look beyond the immediate task, anticipate what crews will need next, solve problems as they arise, and keep operations moving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support field crews across landscape construction, property maintenance, and snow operations
- Work hands-on alongside crews, including operating equipment and assisting with installations
- Work alongside the Operations Manager to coordinate daily crews, equipment, materials, and work assignments
- Monitor job progress, productivity, workmanship, and safety throughout the day
- Communicate expectations, priorities, and project requirements clearly to team members
- Train and support employees in proper installation methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company standards
- Identify potential issues before they impact production and make adjustments as needed

- Skid steers and compact loaders
- Excavators
- Tractors

- Plow trucks
- Snow plows and salters
During the winter season, this position transitions into a leadership role within our snow operations. The Field Supervisor must be comfortable supervising snow crews while also operating snow removal equipment.
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is required
- Strong equipment operating experience
- Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Strong hands-on experience in landscape construction, hardscaping, property maintenance, snow removal, or a related field

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply assign work and watch from the sidelines.
Our Field Supervisor needs to be comfortable leading from the field—organizing the day, setting expectations, checking quality, solving problems, operating equipment, training employees, and jumping in wherever necessary to keep crews productive.
You should be able to look at today's workload while already thinking about tomorrow: What materials need to be ordered? What equipment needs to be moved? Who needs to be where? What could slow the crew down? What needs to be ready before the next shift starts?
Strong leadership, communication, organization, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to anticipate problems are essential to succeeding in this position.
