Caledon East Children’s Place has been in operation since 1988, serving families in the Caledon and surrounding communities. Our non-profit early learning child care centre works with a Board of Directors to carry out our vision; to provide excellence in the delivery of services through trained staff to be a leader and partner in the community.
Hours: Full-time opportunity. Shifts between 7am to 6pm.

Requirements
- Must be registered and in good standing with the College of ECE.
- Must have valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Must provide current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
- Must have up-to-date immunization.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
Major responsibilities
Follow policies and procedures related to the health and safety, physical care, learning and development of children aged 18 months to 6 years including:
- Responsible for the supervision and the health and safety of the children and their environment.
- Responsible for following Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development (social/emotional/physical) for children 18 months to six-years of age.
- Practice and implement play based learning, and the Board of Education pedagogy, How Does Learning Happen?
- Be a supportive and positive team member.
- Follow enhanced sanitization protocols as set out by MED and PPH
- Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate
Experience:
- Early childhood education: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- College of ECE registration number
