Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries - Load and unload goods from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a forklift
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and ensure all items are accounted for
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle - Assist the Yard Supervisor with other duties of operating a lumber yard
Skills:
- Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driving record
-Certified Boom Operator (Must have valid certificate)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Familiarity with local roads and routes in the area
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
