This job is responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software and web services applications to meet the business requirements.
Executes full software development life cycle (SDLC) and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Designs and implements functionality to meet the business requirements.
Prepares software packages and documentation for deployment that adheres to defined standard policies and protocols. Facilitates ongoing updates and maintains documentation on software and systems.
Researches innovative technology and tools to improve our product and processes.
Executes production support activities including troubleshooting, resolving problems, detecting defects and/or bugs and hardware failures.
Analyzes code and functionality for defects using test scripts and tools.
Performs other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Programming Language certification is an asset.
4+ Years proven professional experience in data engineering field such as architecture, data management, data warehousing or data quality
Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Working knowledge of Agile methodology, tools and techniques is required
Strong competence with object-oriented programming and proficiency in more than one programming language.
Working knowledge in software development, and software systems development working on a variety of platforms.
Working knowledge of Java, search technologies, SOA, big data systems and distributed computing strongly desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in object-oriented analysis and design with the ability to identify, propose and implement changes and improvements.
Advanced listening and verbal communication skills to understand stakeholder needs or problems and responding clearly and concisely, including probing for further information.
Ability to adapt to recent technologies and work independently and as a member of a team.
