About the role
The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for direct and indirect procurement at Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin). This team manages an annual spend of tens of millions of dollars on a variety of hardware, software and services. Working on behalf of a variety of internal clients and external customers, this role requires the ability to respond with flexibility to a wide range of requirements and to keep the clients advised of the status of their orders. The nature of our business results in periods of increased workload when projects are ramping up and at fiscal year-end.
The candidate will perform a variety of procurement and supply chain administrative tasks including but not limited to:
- Analysis of requirements

Managing requests for quotations
- Processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders

Resolving various invoicing or receiving issues

Acquiring and filing related documentation including security, safety and import-export clearances.
This with be an 18 months fixed-term contraact role.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma or two (2) years of supply chain or procurement related work experience

Ability to self-organize and work without supervision as a member of a small team

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Proficiency with information technology and strong keyboard skills.
Additional skills desired for the role
- Supply Chain Management. or business related University Degree or College Diploma

Proficiency with the Materials Management (MM) modules of the Systems Applications and Products (SAP) software suite or equivalent tier 1 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Experience of Procurement in a large or medium sized organization or in the defence industry.
