Job Overview
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, as the Lumber/Finish Estimator you are responsible for preparing material estimates to facilitate the supply of materials to customers. You also provide knowledge of materials and support profitable business decisions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Completing and reviewing estimates for customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Maintaining model price lists and directing sales department on project pricing.

Completing lumber/finish estimates using software tools available.

Reviewing and interpreting customer-supplied documents, such as blueprints or drawings. Identifying any areas that require clarification.

Meeting with clients to discuss project details and design specifications.

Providing support to other projects or duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, design principles, and building materials.

Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel) and drafting or industry software (MiTek, CAD BisTrack or similar).
Preferred Qualifications

Related construction industry experience, especially in lumber or finish estimating experience is an asset.

Work Conditions
You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime may occasionally be required.
