Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mechanic/dismantler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely disassembling vehciles (mostly late model trucks/suvs) ensuring all parts are removed efficiently and accurately. The position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in mechanical disassembly within a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Carefully remove parts without damaging components that may be reused or recycled
- Follow safety protocols and procedures during all dismantling activities
- Organize and catalog removed parts for inventory or disposal purposes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand machinery components and disassembly processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, or grinders is preferred
- Attention to detail to ensure parts are removed carefully without damage
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety guidelines during dismantling tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
