Community Support Worker Instructor
Job Summary
Eureka College of Canada is looking for a passionate and experienced Community Support Worker Instructor to join our team. The instructor will support students in developing the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to work in community and social service settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction based on the approved curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans and learning activities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Mentor and support students throughout the program
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Keep course content current with industry standards and best practices
- Work with the college to maintain program quality
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
- A relevant diploma, degree, or credential in Community Support Work, Social Services, Human Services, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant full-time occupational experience; OR
- At least 10 years of relevant full-time occupational experience if the applicant does not hold a relevant credential
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and support adult learners with different learning styles
- Teaching, training, or adult education experience is an asset
- Passion for helping students learn and succeed
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in New Westminster, BC V3M 1G2
