Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1st Year HVAC Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop essential skills in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related mechanical systems. The HVAC Apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to gain practical experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients’ environments. Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Learn to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC and mechanical systems
- Support the troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, including identifying issues with boilers, appliances, and mechanical components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, inspecting ductwork, and checking system operations under supervision
- Gain experience working construction tools necessary for system installation and repair
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during all tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in HVAC or related fields is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, or appliance repair preferred
- Construction experience or mechanic background is advantageous
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory; reliable transportation is necessary for job site access
